Swim League

I an having difficulty updating the Swim League Page with the Results Tables after Round 2 & Lane Draws for the Final

I will ask the Hon Secretary to email the Results to the competing Clubs.

You should note that in both galas in Round 2 a club swam an ineligible swimmer in the 12/u age group and therefore lost the points for each swim together with 10 penalty points for each event entered incorrectly.

The points announced at the Galas have therefore been corrected for both Leagues.

Coaches /Team Managers are reminded that the relevant age for swimmers (Rule 1.2) is as at 30th June in the year of competition

For 2026 12/u swimmers must still be 12 or younger on 30th June 2026.

Swim League

The Results from Round 1 have now been verified and the posted under the Events Tab/Swim League/2026,  including the individual race placings.

Round 2 will be held at Palatine Pool Blackpool on Saturday 16th May with the first gala entry from 1.00pm.  The lane draw /team duties can be found under the Events Tab.  Division 1 will compete at the first gala Division 2 the second gala.

Would coaches please use the new Team Sheet for 2026 in place of any earlier versions.  The new Team Sheet can be found under Events/Swim League/Gala Documentation.

Swim League 2026

Round 1 of Swim League will take place at Darwen Leisure Centre on Sunday 18th January

Division 2 will Swim in Gala 1 with entry from 12.00pm

Division 1 will Swim in Gala 2 with entry from 2.30pm 

The Lane Draw & Club Duties are included under the Events Tab – please could the club staffing the door have their volunteers arrive 15mins before the designated entry time.  Cash floats & programmes will be provided by the Association. 

Competing Clubs should familiarise themselves with the Rules & only use the official team sheet, both of which can be found under the Events Tab

2025 AGM

Swim League Winners 2025

President Lee Scanlan presents the Division 2 Trophy to Preston's Gillian Rankin. Preston also won Division 1 and retain that trophy.

George Harris Salver Recipient

President Lee Scanlan presents the George Harris Salver to long-standing member and officer of the Association Janice Whittle in recognition of her sterling contribution to the sport over many years. Janice has occupied many and varied roles from Club, to District, County & Region and had the distinction of being Swim England President in 2024/25

Handing over the Baton!

Outgoing President Lee Scanlan congratulates incoming President Louise Park and hands over the chain of office. Louise will serve as President until December 2027. The Association wishes Louise well for her term of office and would like to thank Lee for his invaluable contribution during his presidency.

The Results from the first week-end of the Championships are now available under the Events Tab

Saturday 4th October Warm up Times:

Warm Up Session 5     

8:15 –  8:30 am –  Mixed 1500 m               

8:30 – 8:45 am – Girls 9/10/11 years     

8:45 – 9:00 am – Girls 12/over                    

9:00 – 9:15 am – Boys 9/10/11 years     

9:15 – 9:30 am – Boys 12/over                  

 Start as soon after 9:30 am as possible.

 Warm Up Session 6     

 1:30 – 1:45 pm – Girls 9/10/11 years

 1:45 – 2:00 pm – Girls 12/over

 2:00 – 2:15 pm – Boys 9/10/11 years

 2:15 – 2:30 pm – Boys 12/over

 Start as soon after 2:30 pm as possible.

 Swimmers are under the supervision of their coaches and team managers.

Age Groups/Championships 27th & 28th/4th Oct 2025

The meet pack including meet conditions/programme/QTs/entry forms/data set are now available under the Events Tab

All Member Clubs are encouraged to support the event, with any profits generated being effectively available to return to Member clubs via the bursary.

Closing date for entry is 11th September 2025.
