2024 Champs Saturday 5th October
Dear Colleagues
The warm up schedule and the memo for Saturday 5th October can be found under the events Tab.
Can you ensure that these are distributed to your personnel and that parents, swimmers know the procedures
with regard to time of arrival, warm up times etc.
A couple of things to note (again everyone needs to aware of):

Photography – no mobile phones in changing rooms (including toilets) – a few swimmers were warned last weekend.Absolutely NO photography in the changing room area.

Warm up etiquette – coaches and team managers please make sure your swimmers follow correct lane etiquette whenwarming up. There was an incident last weekend which caused a swimmer having to withdraw from the events. It was caused by a swimmer doing full fly stroke down the middle of the lane when passing another swimmer.

Strictly poolside personnel allowed in the changing room, poolside. No parents etc. If team personnel can help to monitor this it would be a big help. This is a safeguarding issue for everyone.

2024 Age Groups & Championships
The Programmes for the first week-end, warm up schedules & club duties are all available under the Events TAB

Would clubs please note the message below from Championship Secretary Janice Whittle
Please be mindful of the roles allocated to clubs. If you cannot fulfil the role for any reason can you sort.
It will be a simple cold buffet each day for those club poolside teams who have ordered lunches.
As indicated in the memo tell your swimmers and parents not to arrive too early.
There is room for everyone.
We are working with 6 lanes throughout the meet.
Sadly the scoreboard is out of action – we do apologise but these things do take time to repair/replace.
The timing is in full working order.

Level 3 Development Meet 6th & 7th July 2024
The Accepted Entries and Programmes for Each Session are now available under the Events Tab/Level 3 Meet/2024
We are still short of officials to satisfactorily Staff the Gala, particularly on the Sunday.
As a Level 3 Meet we can allocate Trainees for Judge Level 1 to a full role and this is an ideal Training Opportunity.
If you or your club are aware of Trainees, who will not be on the Official Finder site, then please ask them to contact Bob Thompson or Helen Whittle.

Swim League Round Three
The League Tables have been updated for Round 2 and the results posted under the Events Tab
Round 3 will be held at Blackpool Palatine on Saturday 15th June 2024
The Lane allocations and duties for Round 3 are also included based on the League Tables after Round 2
Division 2 will swim, first – admission 1.00pm Warm up 1.15pm Start 1.45pm
Division 1 will swim second – admission 3.30pm Warm up 3.45pm Start 4.15pm
2024 Competitions
The dates for NLSWPA Age Groups & Championships were agreed at the recent executive meeting:
Saturday & Sunday 21st & 22nd September
Saturday 5th October
Palatine Leisure Centre.
Entry fee per event will be a competitive £4.50.
Coach Passes will be free and include lunch.
Hopefully all clubs will add the meet to their competition calendars.
In addition the L3 Development Meet will take place 6-7 July 2024 at Blackpool Palatine.
Please note that at the AGM on 4th December 2023 the Members passed a resolution that, from the end of September 2024, that eligibility for the bursary will be conditional on the Member Club having sent swimmers to either of the Association Open Meets or competed in Swim League in the previous 12 months.

The results from Round 1, held on Sunday 21st January 2024 are now available under the Events Tab, together with the Lane Draw & Duties for Round 2, which is being held at Blackpool Palatine on Saturday 9th March
